Fantastic!

There’s no way taking a serious dive into this thoughtful collection of Michael’s most recent examination of the most important performance metrics, as informed by his P&T work, can’t make you a better magician. Very thought provoking and enlightening, from the immediately practical (clear your table!) to the long term strategic aspects of how you ultimately want your audience to remember you. And no filler. Thanks Michael, for always sharing your wisdom with the community.

Another Outstanding Ebook

Michael Close is the best author of magic books writing today. As an engineer by training, I enjoyed the structured approach Michael takes to solving problems within new and existing card tricks. The examples from his role as technical consultant at Fool Us are both fascinating and illuminating. The eBook format he invented that includes embedded video links is an outstanding feature that truly aids learning of the material. More importantly, the information he imparts is meaningful, useful, interesting, and practical. One note, there are a lot of references to other Close eBooks in the text. This is not a problem if you, like me, are a MC completist. If not, you may need to head back to the website and make some additional purchases. At the same time, however, there are some references to sleights hidden in older books that Michael fully explains, saving the reader the trouble of tracking down the original sources which in many cases are out of print. I really appreciated those details.

This is a great teaching vehicle and a perfect tool to self analyze your routines. It covers many ways to critically look at your presentation and make the appropriate improvements.

Becoming a Well-Tuned Magician

I am enjoying Michael's new book 'The Well-Tuned Magician' (WTM) !! We get to have him guide us through his extensive consulting work with magicians and apply his expertise to our own material. This is an important book that covers how Michael approaches 'fixing' problems. The result is clearly structured, more powerful routines. (As a musician, I am well aware of the WTC, J.S. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier'. Michael has added his take on the 'WTM'. Many thanks!)
